| 1957 | Merck in Colombia is born. |
| 1968 | The construction of the manufacturing site begins. |
| 1994 | Opening in Colombia of the new manufacturing facilities for Solids. |
| 1996 | Merck is granted the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) by the INVIMA. |
| 1998 | Merck opens the manufacturing facilities for liquids and creams. |
| 2001 | Merck in Colombia is certified in the ISO9001 – 2000 norm, being the first pharmaceutical and chemical company in doing so. |
| 2006 | Merck Colombia obtains Good Manufacturing Practices certifications from different authorities to export pharmaceutical products:

| 2007 | Merck purchases the biotechnological company Serono.
